Frequently Asked Questions

Does Getting A Tattoo Hurt?

Yes, it does hurt, however pain is manageable and different depending on location on your body and the size/detail of the new tattoo. Getting a first or new tattoo does hurt but is worth the custom piece of art that you've created along side your artist.

Is Getting A Tattoo Safe?

Any puncture to the skin can carry the risk of infection, so make sure you have a sanitary environment with a trained and licensed tattoo artist. Any artist should be knowledgeable on procedures to make you feel like you're not asking too many questions. Practice and sterile procedures are a must. All artist use single-use, sterile, disposable needles and equipment so you're rest assured we've put a premium on safety.

How Does A Tattoo Work?

The needle and ink applicated will go to the second layer of skin, the dermis. Needle speeds apply ink at different rates of about 100-3000 punctures per second. Outlining and coloring/shading will have varied feels and stings, but overall it's more of an irritating pain of a bee sting or a cat scratch.
